This year we were off to celebrate Christmas in Plano at Tyler and Elizabeth's home. We set out the day before Christmas Eve and the girls were delighted that Pixie and Poppy were thoughtful enough to come in a jar to be transported by hand to Plano.
We arrived in the late afternoon and the kids were off to the races playing, playing and playing. The adults hung out and wrapping countless presents to prepare for Christmas Day!!
The following morning, Christmas Eve, the kids were up early and were excited to have gifts waiting for them in the morning. New festive shirts - and matching! So cute. They busied themselves writing letters to Santa, doing various art projects, playing dress up and eagerly anticipating what was to come.

Carter was not too excited about taking pictures (or wearing the elf shirt)

Thankfully, Todd was there to make him laugh and we ended up with a super cute shot.

Deep in play - love!

Tyler's secret santa (ahem, me) got him this Magic Eye book. This was him for the following 2 hours. LOL

Pixie, Poppy and Zoot all zip lined in on Christmas Eve!
The next fun thing on the docket was making Christmas cookies with GG. The kids LOVE this tradition and I enjoy seeing them partake in something Todd and I have done each year with GG since high school

Hot chocolate ready to go for after cookies!!
After
making eating lots and lots of cookies, these kids were SUGARED and ready to play. They ruined Pop Pop's hard work by scattering leaves - but it was pretty adorable. We also went on a good long walk to the park.
When we got back to Tyler and Elizabeth's the kids exchanged the gifts they got for each other. We drew names for Lia, Erin and Halle to buy for Julia, Carter and Preston and they had a great time thinking about what their cousins would like most. Oddly, each of kids had each other has their "secret santa" - so Lia and Preston randomly drew each other, Julia and Halle and Erin and Carter. It was super sweet.

After a yummy dinner, the kids were getting all the things ready for Santa's visit. The Devlin's gave us reindeer food to spread in the front yard.
They opened fun gifts for Christmas Eve and got matching Christmas nightgowns for them and their dolls from GG. We curled up, watched a movie and tried our best to get the kids to GO TO SLEEP.
