Peanuts and Popcorn

Saturday was a rainy, yucky, chilly day so Todd and I opted to take the kids to see a movie.  Peanuts had just opened in theaters and seemed like a great choice for our age kiddos.  I was excited to go and super excited for Erin and Halle to see their first movie in the theater.  We arrived on time, but the showing I saw online was only 3D - which was disappointing because I knew the kids wouldn't keep the glasses on and would get bored watching a blurry movie pretty quick, so we opted to wait for the next showing an hour later.

To kill time, we walked down to Half Price Books and the kids had a great time reading all sorts of new books and Mama had a great time shopping!

After we successfully made a mess of the kid's section, it was time for our movie!  (I tried to clean up as much as I could...)

Had to check out the arcade!

The kids did really well!  They seemed to enjoy the movie and really, really enjoyed the mountains of popcorn at their disposal.  Erin and Halle did really well until the last 20 minutes or so when they were getting pretty restless.  Todd took them out to wander around while Lia and I watched the end.  Overall, I was impressed and it was a really fun time.
