Daddy Daughter Dance

Unbeknownst to me, this Daddy Daughter Dance is kind of a big deal around here...  Fancy dresses, curling hair, special jewelry, flowers, corsages, etc. etc. etc.  Lia was ALL ABOUT IT.  This was not any ordinary party - this was different and special to her.  Happy to oblige.

She had her dress all picked out, curled her hair up a bit and she wore her special bracelet Grandma Cole got for her when she was a baby.  After a ridiculous meldown completely understandable issue about socks and tights not feeling right in her very fancy high heeled sparkly pink princess shoes she was finally ready.

Todd had picked up some flowers on his way home to surprise her with and right when Lia was wondering where the heck Daddy was, the doorbell rang.  I usually don't let them open the door, so she hesitated at first but then opened it up.  Holy freaking cuteness ensued.

This part is my favorite moment of the whole interaction....

She was thrilled.  We snapped a couple quick pictures and off they went!  Todd said it was actually pretty fun (as much as loud music playing in a school gym and eating chickfila in the cafeteria can be...).  But, he got to hang out with some other dads he has come to know and also got to have a great fancy muffin date with Lia.  Her cup is full - I guarantee it!

Wearing Daddy's coat.  :)
