The kids had a super fun time too (I'm sure in part because of the funnel cake, peanuts, cotton candy, popcorn and numerous other goodies they were supplied with - all part of the fun!). It was a little cooler than expected, so we ended up forking out way too much money for a blanket from the gift shop, but it allowed us to enjoy the game without 3 kids on our laps complaining about the cold - worth it.

My favorite part of the entire day was trying to explain baseball to the kids. They didn't understand what the heck was going on, but ended up learning that when the "blue guy" hits the ball, that's a really good thing. And, if it hits it all the way over the fence - that's a REALLY good thing. One of the players ended up hitting a home run and the crowd went nuts - there were fireworks and everyone was basically screaming. The kids were all in - they were yelling and jumping while shouting "the home won! the home won! Can we go now? We won!" When I explained that a home run is worth one point, Lia was supremely disappointed "He hit that ball way over the fence, Mom! That should be like 100 million points - not just one!"
