All Things Pumpkin

This weekend was fabulous!  Great weather, wonderful company and tons of entertainment for an energy filled toddler!  Todd's parents got into town late Friday night and we headed out to the pumpkin patch Saturday morning.  The weather was pretty chilly and windy, so we didn't get the great family pictures I was hoping for, but we still walked away with some cute ones of Lia and 4 great pumpkins!

On the way home, all Lia could talk about was the "o no pumpys" (orange pumpkins) and she was SO excited to see what was coming next.  We got her home, changed into scrubby clothes and started decorating her pumpkin.  I had prepared paint and glitter for her to use and Todd set up a great place for her to get creative in the garage.  :)

Lia had a ball and was completely occupied for more than an hour with this activity.  Of course, anytime you use glitter, you pay the price.  My kitchen floor is very sparkly, as are Erin and Halle's heads....

After the painting, Todd and Lia starting carving our big family pumpkin.  I really thought she would be really into getting dirty and pulling the guts out of the pumpkin.  But, nope.  She was not interested at all.  She took maybe two swipes inside the pumpkin, said "yucky" and left Todd to finish up...  haha.

The rest of the weekend was spent enjoying some family time, shopping, playing cards after kiddie bedtime and finished off with a date night for Todd and I!

Erin is starting to be able to grasp toys, but isn't quite sure what to do after that
