Party Day!

Saturday we gathered with family and friends to celebrate Erin and Halle's birthday!  It was a progressive gift opening starting on Friday with their new bikes!  We had a random span of time when Erin and Halle were the only kids home, so considering that was their actual birthday, we let them open this fun gift first.

We enjoyed a great weekend with GG & Pop Pop, Tyler, Elizabeth, Julia & Carter!  GG & Pop Pop surprised the girls early with some fun gifts as well.

Saturday was Party Day!!

Erin and Halle went to Target with me to choose their cakes and I was so surprised by what they chose.  I gave them about 5 different choices and showed them the pictures.  Halle chose Hello Kitty and Erin chose Doc McStuffins.  The thing that I thought was funny is that this is the same exact choice they made several months ago when they got to choose new blankets.  Maybe there is a preference there after all!

Erin and Halle completely understood opening presents and were genuinely excited by the things in the package (not just the tissue paper...  haha).  It was fun to see them excited and having fun.

Before the party started, I set Erin and Halle one by one up on the counter to look at their cake and to get some pictures.  They both did great and were excited about the cake.  When Todd went to pick Halle up to set her down, her foot swiped her cake and she got a footfull of icing.  The look on her face was hilarious - complete digust by the texture of the substance on her toes.  She was wiggling them and cringing.  So funny.  When Todd started to give her tastes, she was less annoyed and just wanted to shove her entire foot in her mouth.  Pretty funny memory.

Happy birthday and cake time!!
