A visit with Santa

This past weekend we took the kids out to the Sights and Sounds festival in San Marcos.  We went last year and had a great time, so we planned on going again this year.  Last year, Lia was so enchanted by seeing Santa sitting up on his bench that we knew we had to wait in line this year so she could talk to him.  All three of them were super pumped to see him come through on his awesome old school car and were waving and saying hi.

When it was our turn to talk to Santa, Lia marched up there and gave him a big hug.  I was surprised she wasn't more shy, but she was so pumped do finally meet him!  Erin and Halle followed suit and they all enjoyed talking to Santa and were all willing to sit on his lap.

Lia told him she wanted a Rainbow Dash pony (My Little Pony) and Erin and Halle promptly followed suit and said the exact same thing.  I think they thought that is just what you say to Santa.  Really funny.

We finished up the evening with corny dogs, funnel cake, a bonfire with live music and a petting zoo.  It was awesome and will certainly be a family tradition each year.  Yay for Sights and Sounds!!
