Up to Speed

It is a random photo filled post!

Lia was so excited to have her friend, Parker, over to our place to play.  After school one day, Kim and I did a little kid switch and she took Erin and Halle to her house to play with Ryan and I took Parker to our place.  They had a total blast and were not ready to stop 3 hours later.

Erin has been practicing her name for awhile and is getting really good!  Halle is more meticulous with her writing than Erin, but it seemed that one day, Erin just really wanted to figure it out.  This one she did all by herself!  The only thing she was really precise about was the little TINY dot above the 'i'  - so funny.

Goofing off with Mady and Morgan!

The house is inching along at a pace that snails could probably beat.  It has been a painful process at times, but it is getting there!

We were very excited to see the countertops and backsplash be installed!

Until we figured out that the countertops were totally the wrong product....

On the left is what was installed and on the right is what should have been installed.  The product was discontinued (unfortunately) and replaced with something else with the same name.  Silly.  Anyway - we recently chose a new countertop which will hopefully be here soon.

Fort building - love it!

Erin and Halle got these dolls for Christmas which are the same type that Lia got last year.  They have had such fun getting them all dressed for countless parties...

Sleeping in her fort.

For Christmas, I got Lia this beginner drawing book.  The top shows the steps to draw different animals and bugs.  I was so impressed with her ability to follow the directions and make a ladybug!  She loves this book and is really a great artist!

Campout in Lia's room...  it was tough getting them to sleep, but they thought this was the coolest thing ever.
Lia has totally mastered her bike riding.  She loves it and only struggles to get started since the bike is a little tall for her.

Sleeping kids makes me nostalgic for them as babies...

The other day, Lia was out with Todd and Erin and Halle were happily playing in the living room.  They had this entire plot line going with animals coming to the doctor to get help for various things that were wrong with them.  It was adorable.  I tried to get this video, but Erin figured it out pretty quick.
