Daddy/Daughter, Grandpa/Granddaughter, Uncle/Niece DANCE

As we learned last year, the Daddy/Daughter dance at the elementary school is sort of a big deal. Not sort of.  It is a big deal.  The girls were completely pumped about it and Erin and Halle were super excited to be included this year.

Since we have three little girls, I recruited my dad and Stephen to join in as dates for the evening.  Happily, they agreed and we were set.  The kids chose their own dresses, shoes and hairbows and felt tortured by the fact that they were not allowed to wear them until the dance.

My living room turned into a hair salon a few hours before the dance and all three girls got fun ringlet curls (or "wrinkles" as Halle says).  They were all so pleased and you could tell they felt very pretty.  The guys were meeting up over at Stephen's and had planned a sweet way to make everything feel special for the kids.

We were finally all ready and then the doorbell rang...

It was exactly as melt-your-heart sweet as it looks.

I love this picture so much.
My mom and dad sprang for corsages for all the girls and they were so delighted.  Completely overjoyed about a "REAL flower bracelet."

After we got our necessary photos, the girls bounced their way out the door and were super excited to be driving in the front seat of the car with their respective date.  Totally adorable.  (Don't freak out people, they were driving through the neighborhood about 3 blocks away to the school)

My dad and Stephen had asked Todd what to expect when they actually get there.  What do we do?  Todd said "well, we'll take some pictures, eat Chickfila and treats, dance with the kids a bit and then when they find their friends, we'll just watch them play."  Apparently at the end, they all agreed that this is basically how it went down.  haha

This is pretty much how I pictured the entire evening going - girls spinning, twirling and giggling together while all the adults watch from the sides.  haha.

I am so incredibly grateful that my girls have men in their lives that love them so much and will go the extra mile to make each one of them feel special and important.  This isn't just a silly school dance - this is a big deal in their little worlds and Todd, Stephen and my dad came through for them in a big way.

Shout out to Uncle Tyler and Pop Pop also because I know they would have been there in a heartbeat if we needed them!  Which is pretty damn awesome.

We've got some lucky little girls.
