Pods-giving

Because COVID19 sucks, we were unable to do our usual gatherings for Thanksgiving this year.  We tried to look on the bright side and got together with our pod people for a friendsgiving celebration.  We watched the very odd parade/show to start the day (but at least they did something, right?) and then set out prepping and cooking the turkeys - yes, multiple.  Stephen was determined to attempt the turkey trifecta again by doing a smoked turkey, fried turkey and oven turkey.  To be perfectly honest, he and Todd would have probably voted to ditch the oven turkey, but you HAVE to have stuffing!!  The Kasprzaks joined in on the fun as well and it was a great celebration.

Stephen chose to carve the fried turkey (we had one guy on each!) and when he pulled the leg to cut it, the entire bone came out!  I'd say that's a perfectly cooked bird!  The fried turkey won the competition again for the best tasting.  YUM.

We are very thankful this year - deeply thankful for our health, the love of our family and friends and the fact that we have awesome people to wade through the shit that is 2020 with us.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
