We headed to Dallas to celebrate a combo Halloween and Thanksgiving. Because 2020 is a dumpster fire, we were not sure if we would get to see everyone for Thanksgiving, so we took charge and did it early! Tyler and Elizabeth recently moved to a new home on a large acreage lot and we were excited to see the new place. Complete with a guest house for us to stay in, their new house was amazing! Lots of fun area to play, a pool and super kind neighbors. They are pretty much in hog heaven which is awesome to see.

As part of Lia's school day, they did a guided drawing for Halloween. She did awesome!!

Friday we did school, the kids played like crazy and the adults hung out with wine in hand. We prepped an actual turkey for our Thanks-a-ween celebration and it was delicious! Thanksgiving before Halloween? Why not???
The kids were super excited for the following day - Halloween! It was on a Saturday this year, so Elizabeth and Tyler had planned a Halloween party and bonfire. We all dressed up in cutie costumes and our family was the Wizard of Oz! Even Birdie was in on the fun!

We had a great day and the kids said it was a super fun Halloween even though we didn't go trick or treating like usual. They were so happy to be with their cousins and it was a super great trip. You know it was a blast because all three kids slept almost the entire way home. That never happens.
