S'moreberries

Pretty much every other weekend is going to be our camping routine!  Itches my desire to "travel" and gets everyone out of the house!  We arrived at our site after dark on Thursday evening.  Parking and backing in the camper in the full light of day is a challenge...  in the dark...??  damn near impossible people.  Let the true qualities of our marriage and communication shine!  lol.

When we got parked, there is still a bit of a process to set up and luckily my mom had sent fun treats for the girls which kept them happy and occupied.

We had a few projects on our list for the camper.  Our first IKEA hack is complete!  We scored these perfect bedrails for the bunks and had to do a minor adjustment on the short side.  Total win!

The next day revealed a gorgeous view of the lake!!

It was Friday, so the kids had schoolwork to complete and Todd had to work so we set up shop!

After everything was done, we were off to PLAY!

The kids played at the lake, but there was zero shade, so I headed back to the camper and enjoyed a book with my mimosa.  Not too shabby for a Friday afternoon!

The kids played in the lake a ton and Todd went down after work to swim - swimming in NOVEMBER??  Insane.  They had a ball.

That evening, we tried a new s'mores recipe.  A standard s'more with sliced strawberries added.  I'm telling you - this is amazing.  Changes the entire taste and it is a brand new treat.  We named them s'moreberries and it is officially a new tradition.  YUM.

After our fire time, the girls got ready for bed and were working on their Christmas lists.  :)

One of our other projects was to fix some minor things in the camper that were a little, uh, off.  The bathroom door was misaligned and the cabinet under the couch wasn't staying latched.  I fixed the bathroom door easily and Todd tackled the couch project.  I turn and he is literally INSIDE the couch.  Gives you an idea of storage!!!  Lots of space!

Cheers!!

The following day, Beth brought Brooklynn and Finley out to play for the day.  The kids had a total ball in the lake most of the day.

Lia is becoming quite the chef!!  She cooked our pancake breakfast Sunday morning before heading home.
