Pancakes with Santa

The local fire department hosts a Pancakes with Santa party for area residents each year.  We were excited to participate this year and get to see Santa!!  We got there right when it opened hoping to avoid the line for Santa and we were in luck!  We were the 3rd in line, but when it was Lia's turn she got really shy and a little scared, so she opted not to visit with Santa.  Totally fine with me (especially since we didn't wait an hour in line!).  Sitting on a stranger's lap (Santa or not) is understandably weird for a kid and something I'd rather not force on her!

We had fun regardless - it was busy with lots of families there, but the pancakes were a big hit up until Halle spilled an entire cup of orange juice on herself.  She had to get a change of pants (that explains the weird teal pants in all these pictures!!).

Mady and her family came a little later on to join in on the fun.  Lia was so excited to see her and they had a great time playing.

We got some really cute pictures out of the whole thing and I'm happy to share them!

Sweet Erin

 After we gave up on getting all four kids to look, smile and be happy, we just let them play.  Mady and Lia proceeded to do their favorite thing ever:  JUMP!  Erin and Halle really, really tried but just ended up squatting on the rock.  :)

I set Erin in the rocking chair.  She sat there until it started to move, then freaked out and crawled out immediately running away like the chair did something awful to her.  Such a silly little one.

Halle, on the other hand, LOVED the rocking chair and did not want to leave.
