Thanksgiving

This was a very special Thanksgiving for the Gates clan!  We got to meet our brand new nephew/cousin Carter Elliot!  We traveled up to Dallas and stayed with GG and Pop Pop for the week and the kids were spoiled with all the fun attention!  For Thanksgiving Day we went to Ft. Worth to spend the day with Tyler, Elizabeth, Julia and new baby Carter!  It was a really fun trip and despite the yucky traffic we were so happy to spend the time with family!

Lia and GG got to work early in the morning on yummy PIE!!

As always, painting was a big hit

Lia had randomly requested a muffin date with Daddy and GG a couple days before we left on our trip.  GG and Todd happily obliged and seemed to have a great time!

This picture is so sweet to me.

Lia checking out GG's lipstick or "yips" as Lia calls it.

snuggle movie time!
More snuggles in the morning!
Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures at our Thanksgiving feast with my phone/camera.  We forgot our new camera at home and so I did many pictures on Tyler's camera so they would have them to keep.  I'll have to stalk Elizabeth's blog for some pictures!  I did manage to get the one gem below!
At long last!!!  Baby Carter!!!

Since baby Carter was born so close to Lia's birthday party, GG and Pop Pop were caring for Julia and couldn't make it.  So, we celebrated in Plano - Lia was thrilled with the FROZEN castle they got her and has been playing with it at every single quiet time since then.

A little concert for you!

We headed home Saturday morning and had a chance to unpack and relax a little bit.  We invited everyone over for dinner on Sunday since my grandmother had made a special trip to Austin for the first time!  We were excited to see her and show her around where we live.

Hope everyone had a great holiday celebrating with family and friends!!
